Education and Training

Samuel Quadjie is an Engineer and an entrepreneur with 20 years of experience in the Construction and Telecommunications Industry. He holds a BSc (Hons) Civil Engineering Degree with several training programs in Business Administration, Warehousing, Facilities Management, Finance, Leadership and Change Management. He is a professional member of the Ghana Institution of Engineers (GhIE).

Samuel was a Senior Engineer and the Deployment Support Manager at Vodafone Ghana before joining Royal Systems& Services Limited in August 2009

Work and Experience

Samuel’s experience as in the Civil Engineering and Telecom industry started in 1993 as a trainee Engineer at the Department of Urban Roads (DUR) in Takoradi in the Western Region supervising the construction of several drainage, storm channels and road roads for the department. He worked with KACE Limited from 1994 to 1996 anytime he was on vacation as a student engineer. After graduating as a Civil Engineer he continued to work with KACE Limited from 1996 to 1998 as Project Engineer for the company. During this period he supervised the construction of many storm channels and drainage structures under the Urban Transportation Project (UTP I&II), a Department of Urban Roads Project

In 1998 he joined Fregya Construction limited who were specialized in road works and undertook the construction of several Feeder and Urban roads projects across the country

In May 2000 he joined Ghana Telecom as an Assistant Engineer with the Property Department. He was a member of the Property Implementation team who designed and supervised the construction of several Ghana Telecom Exchange and Repeater Station buildings, access roads, cable tunnels, tower foundation and tower structures for the telecom installations across the country. Notable among them was the Northern SDH Project, changing the analogue system across the 3 northern regions to digital. The Koforidua and Ho Regional Head office buildings, the Gbawe Exchange and the SAT 3 building on the High Street – Accra 

In 2006 he was moved to Technology Department as the Head of Civil works where he supervised to design and construction of about 650 turn-key cell sites and other related works for the various roll outs undertaken by the company and managing budgets in excess of USD100Million

In 2008 he was moved to Deployment support where provide technical and governance support for the deployment teams, a position he held until he exited in 2009 to join Royal Systems & Services Limited as the Managing Director

ACHIEVEMENTS

Samuel Quadjie as the Managing Director for Royal Systems strived to move the company’s activities from an annual turnover of about GHc200,000 in 2009 to GHc11.4Million in 2015 constituting 5,700% growth over the past 7 years. The volume of business has increased with some works executed outside the country in Sierra Leone and Liberia.

The staff strength also increased from 5 persons to 55 permanent staff over the 7 year period and over a 100 construction and installation personnel on retainer basis

The company’s assets have also grown from Ghc120,000 to over Ghc5million over the same period

Our Clientele has also increased significantly covering almost all the Telecom and Tower companies in the country

Samuel Quadjie is a member of the Ghana Institution of Engineers (GhIE) and holds a BSc. (Hons) Civil Engineering from KNUST, Kumasi in 1996.
